Great game. Awesome win. The best part was the loudmouth Giants fan behind us walking away a loser.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Haven't seen any real estate action across the street on my block. That place you were living in was sold? There is a new house built on the foundation of an old house on my side of the block. It's nice, and the for sale sign is gone.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Although the whitewalls and the faux wire wheels should be gone.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My parents live at 1311.. I moved out of there about a year and a half ago and my parents wanted to downsize so they picked that place.... They had several broken windows and part of the siding was destroyed from the hail today.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

siding on our office on Weber looks like Lebanon in 1983... my titan took a few dings as well, I guess its broken in.

Oddly, most of our garden survived in the forest, even though it was buried under 3 inches of ice...

more today they say. yeah.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

New trailer got dinged up pretty good. Looks like some fresh dimples on the Mega, too. XJ and old Jetta?....nothing. Sweet, they're liability only.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

They call them UNIVERSAL joints for a reason right? I went in to Advance Auto Parts for some U-joints for my drive shafts and my front axle... The guy looked up my year vehicle and told me they are all different and I would need to buy different u-joints for my drive shafts AND my axle.. Correct me if I'm wrong.. but wouldn't they just be the same? Couldn't I just buy 6 of the same u-joints and have them all work on the drive shafts and axle?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

nope. They are "universal" in that they move regardless of the position of the shafts (to a certain degree), not one-size-fits all. Your driveshafts are likely Spicer 1310's, and your axle shafts are 297X/760X...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Thank you for the clarification!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Hail damage:

I have comprehensive on the beast, think I should claim it. :)

Not a dent on the jeep, but the neighbors Subbie was beat up, along with 3 windows broken. The storm windows I spent last fall making saved my windows.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Get to pick up the ZJ from the Dealer this morning. They found the issue with the back axle. Turned out to be the VC in the transfercase. It had looked like the Trac-Lok clutches were not releasing.

All it took was a fluid change with an extra dollop of friction modifier to resolve. Have to love the easy fix.

The found the leak in the A/C as well. That turned out to be the accumulator. Not so easy a fix...

Maybe now the Wife will leave me alone. Truth be told here, this ZJ is orders of magnitude a better street ride than her Bronco ever was. But then, her Bronco was lifted and had poly everywhere in the suspension. IMO, that was the sort of the lumpy ride it had.

The good news in all of this repair stuff is that my total investment is still under low Kelly Blue Book value. To my way of thinking (hey, watch that) we are still ahead of the game in terms of monies spent.

Again though, my thanks to Fred for the help he gave on resolving the front end issues.

Now, I just need to install the Automatic Temperature Control Module and it will be good to go.

OK, it needs a lift too. Sheesh.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

The subies at our office were dented badly too... makes you wonder if subie isn't using a super-thin gage of sheet metal...

I was reminiscing while pulling photos for my trailer ad last night:

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Who's rig is that? I've been looking for a 99 chili pepper xj that I bought new, built, and then sold back in 2004 or so. Always wondered what happened to it.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's XJ-Grin's old rig. He built that thing up himself.
