Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Yet another reason to drive a dually

Dood......... after the double fatal accident we had 2 nights ago involving a late model XJ, I definitely appreciate all 7700 lbs of my truck...... I don't even wanna drive my jeeps amongst all these motoring idiots. That XJ was massively fubar after going head on with an '05 Tahoe. Lets just say that poor XJ driver became "one" with her Jeep...... After she had been extracted I wanted to take photos of the XJ. Worst I've ever seen. Unfortunately we have a policy prohibiting us from taking personal photos of crime scenes.

The road surface was coated 40 feet in all directions with ATF. Both the Tahoe's and XJ's transmissions and t-cases exploded...... chunks of aluminum cases and housings everywhere. Gear clusters, planetaries, chains, shafts all over. Both vehicle's rear axles had completely broken diff housings from the drivetrain coming back into them so intensely. The back of the Tahoe's engine block was now where the radio and A/C controls used to be..... ripped right through the dash and firewall..... you could see the #7 spark plug inches from the column shifter.

Freakin' Tahoe driver was doing 70 mph + northbound in the southbound lanes. Blood alcohol level according to the coroner was .324. We're hoping CSP can track the guy's credit card to the bar that over-served him and close them down.

Harsh reality......

Are you doing that in the 'Springs or Wheat Ridge? I'd assume the 'Springs as Dave isn't likely to wanna make that trek to your 'hood........

Wheat Ridge. The wizard has volunteered to come up and help me tune the new setup personally. It's not certain because his health is not predictable, but if he is having a good day he has told me he will attempt to come up.

Honestly, he's dead. I can't say justice has been served, since the victim will never be made whole, but...

He had no personal responsibility. Doesn't mean the rest of us should suffer. Unfortunately it's hard to make being a retard illegal.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Actually, we got laws in the Great State of Colorado, just for such occasions.

I don't understand I feel really safe when I drive my XJ on the road ?......

Re: The Colorado BS thread

And now on a happier note:

I finished my taxes, all 36 single-sided pages of them. Obviously, I got a refund, wouldn't work that hard only to pay. :)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Dude, I use turbo tax, and I have to correct it. I've been doing taxes for 46 years. I know, I know. :)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Death, taxes and bacon. The new Trinity? :D

Well, that is the plan... Was knocked down, again, yesterday. Had to brow beat the Wife to convince her not to drag me, yet again, to the ER.

Bloody expensive places the ER...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I actually forgot to file last year, and the irs sent me nasty grams to my old address ,I guess they got tired of me ignoring them and did my taxes and sent me a bill for 97 Or so $$ And that included the fine ,that is less than i usually have to pay the preparer, might let them do them from now on

Re: The Colorado BS thread

One time I was late with my taxes and thought I was gonna owe them money... wrote them a check for the amount I thought I owed plus a bit that I figured would cover the fine.

Turns out the difference between the forms and the check triggered an audit and they did a better job than I did, turns out I didn't owe them at all, and sent me a check back for the $1.48 I was owed :gee:

(I never cashed it and every time I send them a change of address form or submit my taxes I get a replacement for the expired $1.48 check in the mail now. It's kinda cool, I have a stack of them somewhere.)

Re: The Colorado BS thread

My son's school had a HazMat incident today and they evacuated the whole school. Gotta love crazy parents. Funny thing is, a long time ago a I was a trained HazMat responder so I actually understand what's going on.

Someone spiked the chili and the kids didnt like them? Late night stoner snacks left on the playground for the kids to find the next day? Really, they shut down a school for this? Any more questions?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

It was habaneros, but yes.

I think they did the right thing given what they knew. Over a dozen young kids showing signs of chemical type exposure, in today's society it's better to be cautious.
