Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

'97 used the old cast metal hinges. '98+ went to the stamped/bent plate steel hinges.

David, if you need some outter hinge parts lemme know ASAP. The '98 I have here still has all 4 door hinges intact....... Was gonna try to haul this thing off this week.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I get to spend 4 days in CO....But it's only 4 days, then I'm off to work again...I've spent 7 weeks home this year.

Good lord. I hope the paychecks at least take the edge off the sacrifice to some degree.........

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I don't really know what to do to do the doorless mod, but having extra parts would probably be helpful! Troy send me a PM for a quote!

looks like the way to do it, but i really like how my doors almost close every-time. I think the hard part will be getting my parents approval, my dad is afraid to even take off his doors!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

THe paychecks were good for the first 3 months, then at the end of the job I was offered work in Houston. No per diem, lose the overseas uplift, no allowance for anything extra and half as many hours, So I went from making big money, to making half as much and trying to support 2 households, so no. I've actually been living check to check and being thankful to have a job.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well I guess I just assumed you'd be making some tube doors with all those crazy fab skillz you've been acquiring lately....... :D

Maybe I should keep these hinges for myself........ I had a set and sold 'em once I bought some Warrior Products tube doors from fireLt....... who then promptly wanted to buy them back..... :D

Re: The Colorado BS thread

sold? the skillz are on loan, so I need to make the best of it before they go away.

I want to be able to look at my front tires, either the doors need to go, or I need a lot of wheel spacers,,,

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with the BOR rig....... doors and bushwhackers keep the tire completely hidden no matter how far I stick my melon out the window.......

Re: The Colorado BS thread

doorless mod takes care of that problem!
it also helped today when a bmw got about 2 feet from my back bumper at a light.. i could see the bmw emblem in my rear view camera installed in my hitch.... anyway, i kindly stuck my body out and looked back at her, shook my head and when the light went green she stayed stopped for a good 10 sec after i took off.
good times. lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well damn, this morning has been less than stellar....

My grandma has been having some serious kidney and heart issues for a while now. And my father, who I dont really talk to for an assortment of reasons, apparently has been having some too. He 'lucked' out and was able to figure out what the issue was.
Being as his mom was having the same issues he talked her doctors test her for the same thing. Low and behold, we have a winner.
Its a rare mutation in the body that overproduces a certain protein that attacks mostly the heart, kidneys, spleen and nervous system. And the best part is its ultimately fatal - as in no way to fix or slow it down. And its hereditary. Here come the blood tests... :(

Sorry to hear that Mike! I hope for your sake it skips a generation!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Well the passenger side tire looks like it is touching the leaf spring.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Also, the alignment pin does not look like it is seating correctly.
