clutch fluid pressure?

does anyone know how much pressure there is on the clutch hydrolic system? i have a 92 xj and my plastic line melted. i was thinking about clamping stainless braided line on to the old fittings, but i have no idea if that would hold up. any other ideas? the new line is almost $90 and i don't have that right now, but i don't want a band-aid.

The pressure is low but the fluid will eat most hose, use only Brake line hose if you can find it.
