Clrusty's new ride - WrenchFest Oct 8th

The bumper shipping is being worked out with the help of Dave and the MWC BOD. We will get this bumper to you!! :D Once it is completed I hope to have it ready to ship out the end of next week or maybe early the next week (I have 300+ fall calving cows that have just started! :farmer: )

Im sending him Warn Sliders.. dont need no stinkin AJ's sliders

now i just learned something new. didnt know ya could use a front ds with an sye and make that work. i did do the tc drop kit on my 91 and didnt seem to have any probs. i think im gonna learn alot of new tricks from you guys,,lol well at least i hope so. i wish i would have looked at the rear axle in it yesterday. still curious to what is in it. but Ed would have yelled at me for trying to crawl under the jeep..lol

I believe It's a 8.25 with 3.55 gears.

Maybe we can get a couple of other NAXJA sponsors to donate things like maybe aj's rockrails, and hd offroad's stiffeners or relocation brackets.
I'll talk to Brian at HDOR to see if he'd be willing to donate to the build.

It's not much, but I sent $50, happy to help a fellow XJ owner, oh and I'll post this on CherokeeForum

Thank you .Thank youuuuuu. I am still doing my happy dance over here.looks funny cause i only have the one good foot to do it on..lol ..Thank you alllllllllllll.

I saw the new ride yesterday on my way home. Good looking XJ.

What transfercase is going in this XJ, 242 or 231? Do we have a t-case and does it match the spline count of the transmission?

i seen on the list there is an AW4 on there,is that the 231? and wanted to mention that my buddy ED(yellowx) has and friend of his that rebuild transmissions building me a trans. i am trying to get him to add it to the list also.also mudder from tnvjc is donating some buckshot mudders for this build but i may have to have him bring them here or to EDs house.we live kinda close to him anyway.

Can I just bring a complete 3.55 disco hpd30 and use the 297 shafts to upgrade? Complete means lugnut to lugnut.

I've got one sitting here collecting dust (it's a pre-90 so the brakes may not work) so lemme know if there's anything out of it you need. I'd have offered it if there wasn't one heading that way already.

i just seen i worded that wrong up there.is the aw4 what goes to a 231? man im glad yall are doing the build and made me the tool bitc()..lmaooo.im lible to have the front axle in the rear...dont think i would screw up that bad but......

or will the 231 and the 242 both hook up..which is better? i know in my 91 i had the 242 and was told to get rid of it and get me a 231.i didnt know . figured wouldnt hurt to ask, been told there is no stupid question if ya dont know..lol

So is there any way we can get this Kevin Berta guy to come out so we can all meet him and shake his hand for his generostiy?

Flex i thought about the same thing. that would be so cool to have them come out to at least eat with us..I am sending them a thank you card and i think i will put the date and addy in there with it.

Cool, plus he needs to see what a bunch of hillbillies with wrenches can do to a Jeep in a day! :D

as long as we keep it 21spline-21spline or 23spline-23spline, either should mate up. Yours came as a 23 spline vintage, and I know there's a speed sensor change (or two) during that period, so I'd assume we're looking for late model 23 spline stuff.
