We should be able to use knuckles out off the 2wd beam if they are good.

i just went over and posted the link to this thread on itsajeep and tnvjc. them guys want to help also. me and my buddy ed just took the jeep to EOR and dropped it off. jimmy is going to put it out back and bring it out saturday for us to get it to bradyville. as far as the lp or the hp ive always heard ya go with the hp but i will leave that up to yall. i was grinnin from ear to ear while driving the jeep today.

Unfortunately I don't have a press.

I have a decent selection of tools, compressor and 220V mig welder.

Extra tools never hurt.
 
It's a good thing I have plenty of room to park stuff. This is looking like it will be a huge event!

Please be sure to bring chairs and a table or two so we have a place to sit and eat when lunchtime rolls around.
 
Harbor Freights ball joint press is the one i have .. seems to do the job just fine!
$49 i believe..
 
Does this XJ have an 8.25" Chryco rear axle?
 
If needed I'll pick up a ball joint press from oreilly's or advance or one of them on the loan a tool if nobody has one they can bring.
 
Can I just bring a complete 3.55 disco hpd30 and use the 297 shafts to upgrade? Complete means lugnut to lugnut.
 
FYI - Woodbury has an Autozone and O'Reilly's about 15 minutes away in Woodbury. Manchester has even auto parts options 20 minutes away.
 
Ill bring my ball joint press no worries there.
 
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this one, but I know there will be another in the near future. If there is anything I can do if someone has a breakdown issue from up north on the way down or up, let me know.

I am about 25 miles from Clarksville and Bowling Green either direction, also Franklin, KY which is south of Bowling Green north of Nashville.
 
Trail Rate This is setting up a Paypal Account tonight for those of us who can't make it, don't have parts to donate, or just don't know any other way to help.

The funds could be used for any of the nickle and dime items everybody will run into with the Jeep, or even for things such as helping to pay his medical bills, his daughters medical bills, or trying to get back to a normal life again. Anything he needs help with is what it'll be for.

$20-30 from several people can go a long way. Heck, even as little as $5 from several people can go a long way...
