Hey Jeepers,
Has anyone had any experience with the Clifford/Redline fuel injection setup? Their website suggests that it makes HUGE power and is EXTREMELY INCREMENTALLY tunable. This is even on the stock crank and either a .030 or .060 overbore. It looks VERY interesting.

Keep Jeepin',

Those FI kits are more for those who are adapting 4.0's into older carb'ed jeeps... what year is your Jeep? I'd definately stick with the H.O.'s EFI, I don't know enough about Renix to say about it though.

I've talked to larry at clifford a few times about this, you don't have to get the whole system, you can get a replacement computer for your jeep, reguradless of year, this will hook to your laptop, and with the software that comes with it, you drive and tune every 300 rpm all the way up the chart, or you have someone drive while you tune, until you hit the "sweet spot" in every 300 or so rpm increment, when you get it where you want then save it.

he claimed that my stroker that "may" be putting out 300 hp could be up arround 500, these # are mostlikely exagerated, and not at the rear wheels. I plan on one day giving it a try when I've got an extra 1300 or so to blow.

Hell, I'll sell you a little propeller gizmo that goes in your intake boot that will give you that 500 HP.....(why isn't there a tounge-in-cheek emote???)

200 additional HP by going from MPI to the weber injection....in a word....NO!!!

I am in no way implying the system is not a good one... but the claim is rediculous... I wonder what RedLine would think?? (Redline is the distributor for weber products in the US.)

its not going from MPI to webber injection, its changing the computer to a programable one, kinda like bolting a bully dog programer on your diesel truck, and one of those WILL give you 200 more ponies. will I see that out of my 4.7 stroker? probably not, but I'd bet 100 is possible.
