Well I bought this XJ a few months ago and it was pretty beat up, so I have spent some time cleaning it up. Here are a few shots
First day I bought it

Now: Did a 2-tone with rustoleum spray can bedliner and also sprayed the the roof. Replaced the headliner and undercoated the front bumper and threw a new winch on. I replaced all the lights with new ones.

Future plans are to rhino line the interior and my next purchase is going to either include building the axles or buying a rear bumper/sliders/and fab up some tube fenders.

id hate to think what you d think of my jeep if thats what you called "beat up"

That's kinda what I was thinking.....makes me miss my silver XJ...just a little. But to each his own. That's what personalizing is all about. It looks good so far...keep us posted!:viking:
yeh, and how much LIFT does that thing have? and 35's?? maybe we're needing bigger tires..........:sunshine:

Haha I know I know.....it wasn't THAT beat up. I have had all show rigs that have been kept immaculate in the past, I am trying to get used to this its ok to have dents and scratches thing. Everything I am doing to "clean it up" is just cheap things here and there I can do myself. It does have a big lift, if I bought it stock I wouldn't have gone so big. I bought the jeep for crazy cheap with everything done to it, so I jumped on it. It has an 8" rustys LA kit, and I think a 2" spacer in the front, so its got a bit of a bulldog look from the front. I won't go bigger tires until I build up the axles, or I might drop it and get a 6.5" IRO LA kit when the money comes in. Thanks for looking everyone!

I like it a lot! Great job on the headliner.

im too lazy to redo my headliner..im going to end up sewing it up to the foam lol

That roof is really going to soak up the sun in the summer. I love black and silver though had a 79 ford with those colors in my youth.

Please do. Don't change the arms tho. Unless you just want to. For now I'd at the very least get rid of the 2" spacer. It looks like the leaf springs on the back almost make a "U".

That thing looks like it'd roll over on an ant hill.

Seems like you've got the right train of thought to get it right.

Would I need to do anything more than replacing the coil and leafsprings to drop it down to 6.5". I was just looking at the IRO website and was pricing their 6.5" coils and they only had 5.5" leafs.

add 1inch shackles and you're done. I'm running 5.5" RE coils, and some time soon BigOffroad 4 inch HD leaves w/1 inch shackles...and I'll be done.:viking:

Hahahahahaha, Yeah you might not like wheeling with those SEC boys then.....:D

I agree with you, you should drop it down to 6.5".

I assume that the above remark was directed at me ?!?! LOL

The Jeep looks great.
I'm not very far away, just South-west in Doraville. Shoot me a PM if you want to meet some of the SEC folks.

Hell i'd love to meet some of them as well :laugh3: Only seems like you, stump and me around here. Thought stump was going to do a M&G at the shop again? Nice xj btw, do you own an srt8? was wondering about the name.

I dig the two tone... but do a couple more things to complete it: follow the black around the hatch, black out the tail lights, on the front black out the markers and paint just below the marker light black (use the marker as your end point for the black)
But that's just me... still looks really good/clean. And I agree with the other guys, drop it down a bit as time/money permits...
