clean daily driving XJ

Tossing out idea of finding one as a daily driver mainly for wife. We as i am sure a lot of people are hurting financially (long story)...but our reliable new truck i fear will be loosing it and need to find inexpensive hopefully reliable (lol)vehicle to replace it with...and i love XJs . Stock setup, not have to be pretty... but mech sound to do daily commuting etc. I have checked CL in my area and have not seen much of interest...so figure i post up. please PM me if u might have something in mind and i will check back as soon as i can (sharing 1 computer internet for whole family atm so hard to be on everyday).

I have seen nice XJ's for sale in the cities of K.C. , Columbia and St. Louis very recently. - I live in Columbia and I'm thinking about buying my son one for his b-day.

How far you willing to drive? I seen a 97 plus Green XJ with Ecco wheels and a roof basket for sale here where I live, but don't know anymore about it.

I have a green 2000 Jeep cherokee 2.5L 5 speed manual. Has 107,xxx miles on it. Completely stock except for some newer rims and tires on it and a cd player. It is extremely reliable and I have never had any issues with it. I drive it 140 miles a day back and forth to work, have been doing it for the past 9 months, and will keep on doing it without a problem. Interior is immaculate and has a full sized spare mounted inside.
Now for the bad... I hit a patch of black ice 3 weeks ago and smashed the front, and driver side panel as well as the bumper. It does not leak anything and still drives perfectly, but it will need those parts replaced. I have already picked up all the electrical parts (flashers, headlight etc.) and plan to fix the panels as well. I would be willing to sell it for $3400 before the fix, and $4500 after the fix. Only reason I am selling is because I need to downgrade to something more fuel efficient. It currently gets 22mpg, but my bro in law is selling his civic soon and its calling my name.

thanks guys . i am really wanting to find something a little closer to Topeka as i really cant afford to drive too far if know what i mean . vehicle will be doing about 20 or so miles a day 5 days a week highway driving.
