That's how I plan on wheeling but at the rate i'm going my rear axle wont even be done by saturday. Nothing is going smooth.

Oh and I will have a passenger with me, but as of right now might not ahve a Jeep.

when are you peeps heading up there? i'd like to follow someone who's been there before.
 
Whenever I wake up plus about 45 min to check over the massivemobile and make sure it's not broken in any new ways, pack beer and food, etc. Figure around 9 or 10AM.

Almost certainly won't be bringing a jeep, plans went to hell as usual, I didn't expect to have a 2" gap in one of my cylinders on the tow rig, at least one rig will be in wheeling condition but not wheeling-and-driving-home condition, and the tow rig can't handle towing atm. Oh well I'll still be wheeling something it just won't be an XJ/MJ.
 
So FWIW I think I will be there. Going to finish up the rear bumper tomorrow night (drill a couple more unibody tie-in holes) and install fire extinguishers, along with swapping axle shafts and some fluid checks. Hopefully will be me and a buddy so he can drive his car up and make sure I don't get stranded on the side of the highway if my Jeep decides it doesn't want to make the whole trip there or back. :gee:
 
screw that, half the adventure is wondering if you'll make it back!! :)

I know. But he wanted to come anyway (if he can get the time off) and if I die in a fiery blaze I figure it might as well be one rather than 2... and he drives a miata now so I'm sure he just wants to hoon on his car a bit.

What time is everyone meeting at (not sure if it was mentioned already but I don't feel like reading through).

Oh, and is any food needed? I'm not sure if I can bring chili again (not even sure if it was liked, though i didn't bring much home :rolleyes:) but if anything like that is requested it's a maybe, the folks already asked if I needed to bring any food so :dunno:

edit: wait, nvm, i brought pulled pork last time, not chili. And I actually made it not my father (he is the chili guy). whoops. Either way, lmk.

My front tires are pretty low on tredd.... None of you guys happen to have a mounted 31" A/T I could borrow/buy for tomorrow would ya? I have a BFG spare that i could use for the other side
 
Bought a fresh chain for the saw! I'm off to grab my co-pilot, should be there a little after ten!

I wholly agree! The unknown is always the most exciting. And especially with another vehicle to get to work nd shit, FIRI!
