Is it usually on 4th of July weekend? (I'm still not sure my rig will be ready or not but just curious.)

No it is usually the week of the 4th. It is just that the 4th falls on the weekend this year.

Ah... hop to! It'll be done. Define 'Done'. I can't define that word anymore!

Lol...I know. But what I mean is if I'll have a rig that is lifted and will be able to actually drive up there. Hey....wanna buy a BIG trailer for 3 Jeeps? ;)

But with this on the 4th, I'm not sure I'll be here. My 1st anniversary is on June, 30th and we were planning a trip back down to the Caribbean for it. I can swing the trip so we're back by then but I don't know yet. Ahhhh....I have to much going on in July...

Yeah, its somewhere new, so that ain't too bad.. I may try and run my 3 link on my 30 for that trip.. 44 may not be goin by then

lol... What the hek are you doing over here!? lol That bored eh?

Would you believe someone actually called me at work and said "Go read the Cherokee Crawl 2008 thread, man those kids can whine!" ?

Or maybe I'm just everywhere.

Or perhaps I just peek in, since I grew up in south carolina. :)

lol! I like to whine... I just wonder why the thread was even started... No one else participated in the decision. Why not just make the decision and let us know where it's at instead of making everyone think they had a choice. Ok. I'm done whining again. :) I'll be going to Kentucky in the near future!

Dunno. :) I considered trying to come out for your event, but with putting a down payment on another car today, funds are tight for a couple months.

Take some good pics.

Oh I will. Hek, It's half way to Cali for me to get there... It shouldn't be too long of a drive for you. :)

Trust me when I say all you guys and gals will like Harlan.
Its got good people,Its close to the trails,Its got Cabins,Camping, Hotels,
Even houses to rent. And Its free to ride day or night.
And thats not saying how good the wheeling is.
Its got something for everybody and most of the
obstacles are off the beaten path so if your a watcher you can see
it all.
I have personally not been in about a year so I cant really give a good
update but i know they add trails and obstacles all the time.
Harlan has as hard or harder Obstacles than tellico but it has good challanging
easier ones also.
I honestly dont think any of you will be disapointed.

See you there!

I live about four hours away from Harlan County, it would be worth the drive if it were eight hours away. I have been there in a Rubicon running 33's and we ran with another guy in a buggy and I will have to say that I have had the time of my life. There is an amazing amount trails to choose from ranging from all levels of difficulty. You can go and crawl or just cruise the mountain. Plus the locals love you, they rely on you for tourism and you can drive anything on the street ranging from four wheelers, buggys, dirt bikes and your cherokee that has not been street legal for 10 years due to the unrealistic mods' that have been done to it. Though I do highly recommend having both axels locked.

Please chack out the Cherokee Crawl Forum for more information..

BTW its in Harlan, KY
