Yeah I know you were. But I am willing to help. It is Red Oak. The home owners were thinking Red Alder but decided on Oak. Pretty sure the price was a factor. There house is clear up in Conifer and I live in SE Aurora I need to move.

Nice work! I'd worry about the radiant heat from that stove pipe over time taking it's toll on your craftsmanship though.

That is pretty nice. I have half wall sheat rock railing and going down to the basement and want to rip it out and do rod iron and wood combo like that. That will be a project for when I finishe the basement off.

Thanks I was pretty proud so I had to share. :spin1: I will look into where the rods came from. I was just the installer. Yeah camera is pretty dirty. It has been sitting in my XJ for 4 months. Wife got a new one so it just sits. I think it is only a 4 megaplix. So it pretty old and crappy. But it comes in handy when I see a Elk or something cool I wanna snap pic of. Stove pipe isn't as close as it looks. Plus it is double wall pipe so you can touch it when it going.
