cheap xj's

Whats up guys. I am going to be in the market for an xj in a week or so. I'm looking for a super cheap one, that doesn't have to have an engine or drivetrain becauase a tree fell on my jeep and it is still driveable and in working order. My budget is somewhere around $600.

My question is: Have you guys seen anything around? and where are the best junkyards, places, or wherever to look for a jeep like this so I don't waste my time running all over the state.

Thanks

okay... (I gotta ask!) How in the hell did a TREE fall on your heep?

You have Trees in Pullman? I thought you just had Cows (*cough*cheerleaders*cough*) and sheep? :laugh2:

Last time I was at pull and save about 3 weeks ago they had an xj for $350. They always have cheap rigs in the rebuildable section. If I see one there in the next couple of weeks I'll pm you. (unless it's an mj, then it's mine)

You can have my 86 for free. Haul it away. BTW, this should be in the "Wanted Forum", regardless of location. :D

They do allow them. Often, in fact. Get your facts straight. It is part of the State Highway System... car haulers, trailers, etc... are sent out all the time. I think a vehicle and car trailer would only be about $100.

I know they ship fuel to the islands after hours beacuse their afraid of ex-military guys that live up there. They figured out by that time they'd be drunk and reletivly harmless. ;)

I didn't know they allowed them. Goverment is so ristrictive anymore, I'm suprised you can still go out on the outter rim of the ferry and let you hair ( or lack thereof) blow in the wind.

Empty (vented and inspected) fuel trucks take the ferry back to the mainland. Full fuel trucks are barged out. They used to run an after hours thing, but the Unions got in the way of that.

More hippies and grasseaters live out here than ex-military. You must not have been out here since the 70's eh?

its been awhile. when I was at rosario there were alot off hippies at Doe Bay. It's seems there are more great unwashed up there than anything else.

I would bet you'd find more ex-military guys on decatur (SP) island and some of the more remote smaller ones.

Rosario and Doe Bay are quite a distance apart. Besides, that is a completely different island. That is like saying Seattle sucks because only scum live/work in Kent. :)

That has exactly WHAT to do with this Chapter? Proper venue gets more points than rabit posts.

oh hell no. it's on the SAME island....its what a 15 min drive?

Hey isn't Central 4wd in kent ?? wait a minute...

I think you have lost it. What is your point? I live on one Island... you bring up crap about two different places on a completely different Island. Hence, wondering what the fuck you are talking about....
