I see alot of the Saab 9-7x in my area; a Tribeca rebadged as Saab except instead of the subaru boxer 6 engine (best part of the tribeca) they have slapped in a GM vortec motor into it, netting worse fuel economy and marginal lb/hp gains, all this in a yuppie wagon at a base price starting right around $40k...

what's not to be hated...
Those are TrailBlazers rebadged with a Saab emblem, not a Subaru.

The Avalanche is by far the vehicle I hate the most. There is plastic holding on plastic. Looks like a hot wheels truck on steroids and probably isn't as sturdy.

They do have alot of plastic.. but under it all, its all metal, and alot of it.. Just like a truck. They say its a multi-purpouse vehicle or something like that ? I think its one of the most useless vehicles. Its built like a truck, but dosent work like a truck. Bed cargo area is small, cab is roomy, and carries 5 people.. and sucks down gas.. thats about it.

That thing!

Truck? I think not.

the Honda truck is nice....won truck of the year, Honda hit it right the first time they made a truck........why so much against it? Unique looking. I like the rear hatch, can either flip down or open out.

Accord on some serious steroids is what it looks like to me. I've never driven or ridden in one, but i've looked in them and sat in one and they just feel really cheap.

Plus, I like a vehicle that makes different noise with each day...keeps me on my toes.

They do make an all metal Avalanche, I've seen two around the area.
All metal or the plastic is painted to match the metal, I've seen some with "color matched" plastic. I think the redone chevy lineup is some of the ugliest , cheapest looking crap. The malibu, impala, Equinox(this may be uglier than the Avalanche) has taken Chevy's exterior engineers to a new low.

heh, yea, will it be a good day or bad day. two cranks or one... its exciting

Exactly! And I always ask myself, what will clunk or bang today? Will I hear a squeel? How about the CEL, Haven't seen that in about a day or two, it's about time for that again.

that is a pretty damn fun car! better than just about anything in its class at the time (except for the recalls)...now that we have all these badass RWD cars though, FWDs aren't even in consideration for me

Mom had one before she bought her Jeep. Wasn't an SVT, just a base base base model LX....5-speed, 4 banger, no power anything, did have AC and had an aftermarket CD player I put in. If it wasn't for the constant overheating and the many many recalls (I lost count of how many we got.....it was almost at the point where everything on that car had been recalled at one point or another), it wouldn't have been such a bad car.

It did get really good mpg, i'll give it that. And the constant overheating/running hot meant that we had almost instant heat even in the coldest of winter days.

And I wouln't even go into the water pump that exploded ON THE WAY TO THE DEALER to get it replaced per a recall. Ever seen an exploded WP before?

because it's not a goddamn truck!!! truck of the year by who's standards? a car magazine's. we know trucks don't handle like cars...we don't care. the only people buying that junk will be yuppies and their damn helpless wives that feel they need to sit higher than everyone else. can i repeat: not a truck. the cherokee is more of a truck. in fact the payload and tow ratings are nearly the same, except that that thing is like 30% bigger and can't wheel.

whatever...stop wasting tax dollars, go bust some real criminals. i don't give a rat's ass about a front license plate and 80 is plenty safe on a desolate 4 lane divided highway. DUI enforcement is understandable, same goes for reckless (though some cops need to lay off when nobody is being endangered, no one should get a reckless for a burnout in an abandoned parking lot), nearly everything else is just bull. indirect taxation...and a pretty damn unfair tax too.
