However the visual test would never fly in Cali. In fact, last time they tested my EGR ot make sure it worked by applying vaccuum. The engine died, meaning it was working.
That part of the Renix manifold is kind of complex, so you'd have to cut out a 3x3 section or so to get the boss, the threaded portions, and the EGR passage.

The smog rules really suck. I'm sure the late model intake wouldn't pass because of the visual even if it was fitted with all the original smog equipment and passed with flying colors at the tail pipe. Who knows this for sure? Isn't Bryan C the resident guru on CA smog equipment/issues?
