Hey guys, I'm not native to the area, just a transplant brought here by the USAF. My little XJ is more or less stock, although I'm saving the $ to get things started on her real soon.
With that being said, I like to keep my exploring to fire/logging roads and some mild trails.
I have messed around up outside of Jenkinson Lake/Pollock Pines area (north south rd, mormon emigrant trail...etc).
I've also been over to Red Dog Road / greehorn creek area (exit Colfax on 80) with a friend, before I got my jeep I wasnt a big fan, there were a few signs litterally telling us not to be where we were (down in the washout of a river or something, looked like mining trucks had been throught there... I don't know really).
What I'm trying to say, where are a few good mild trails I can explore with my XJ?
I would honestly like to find one were I could set up a tent by the edge of a river/lake/stream and make a weekend out of it.
Thanks in advance for the input fellas
