Camping near Ft. Collins this weekend

So...I am heading out this weekend. I generally have an idea of where I want to go, take a good map and just explore. Forest Service roads and the like.

I have decided on the Ft. Collins area, somewhere off 14 near Cameron Pass. If anyone knows the area/has any suggestions, I wouldn't mind hearing them. What is the snow situation up there?

What I am after is something out of the way with a creek nearby (with fish....don't care on the size). Not looking for anybody's secret hide out, just a general idea.

Oh, I will be spending a great part of my mornings/evenings seeking moose.

Any info would be great.

Thanks!

Saw a moose in the Pingree Park area last weekend. Wasnt any snow on the ground but it did "flurry" for a bit (no accumulation).

thanks guys. Not sure why I didn't think of checking out the Wells book. I may be vertically challenged for Kelly Flats (stock) however the area does look awesome.

Pingree Park...nice, thanks. I am going with a buddy who has never seen one before.

pick your lines and bypass the chutes, and you'll do fine on Kelly. I ran it in a stock Isuzu pickup many many times in my youth. We camped near Crystal Lakes over memorial day, no snow to speak of, but yes, lots of moose and moose sign around. Sevenmile is a nice road for a stocker too, just out of rustic.
