Man, I wish there were a way that I could help with the cabins, Im so close. I dont get off work untill that morning. Just as a suggestion, an alternative might be the "Best Western" there at Brunswick road (centrally located and less expensive than other "tourist "hotels in the area) anyway let me know if I can help in any way (oh yeah theres always the fairgrounds)

Maybe I could go up there late in the afternoon and try to "secure" the cabins. I cant stay there, I have to work that night, But I'd be willing to try, IM me you phone # so I can call to confirm for you,etc. I work graveyard shift on Donner Summit now and theres a storm coming, dont know what my hours on and off are.
