bye bye NAPA

I know people who have gone there. They are well known school with good history. They say it's a really nice school, but EXPENSIVE. It'll look good on resumé for sure :D.

BTW, I got a job working nights (when I was getting my graphics degree) at print shop. Didn't pay well. Was mostly a data entry/type setting job. But I was on a computer, and working with similar software and the knowledge I gained there payed off later.

And again, working in your field also looks good on resumé. Even if it's for Kinkos or something taking orders. At least it's somewhat related.

i am banned for life from Kinkos. :gag: i worked there when i was 16 for a couple months.

Ha, I said "or something like that."

The job I had was a commercial printing press business that printed the stationary for all the kinkos in the area (since all they have are copiers and not printing presses). Then I worked for a place that was a kinkos copy cat called Copy Club. It's money in your pocket (or food on your table) and you might meet some people there that could bring you bigger and better things.

Most require a Degree
Not necessarily. I'm uneducated and was hired at Hertz as a Manager trainee. For counter sales rep you don't need a degree but you still get "revenue management incentives" (commission).

I know how that is, I'm still looking for a job, and I just got my associate's degree in electronics engineering, a certification, and now in welding school.

Mike, glad to hear you going to school, you will be so happy when you get done.. All the money you are going to make, your jeep will look real cool.. Good luck

Mike,

It's bitter sweet. Keep focused on your goals and stick with it.

Now I know why you've been padding your post count... you have to make up for the next couple of years when you'll be studying instead surfing the net.. :D

Excellent new that you are going back to school. I'm jealous because I would like to pick up some degrees relative to my job instead of what I went to school for originally.

It will be a tough road and we'll miss your NAPA part skills and info.
