Bumper Building Questions... Approach angle

I am in the process of designing a front bumper and have a few questions.

1. What would be better A.The bumper being flat faced but tucked in more or B. being angled but sticking out more??

like

A. l

B.... l
../

2.When building my bumper i want to have obviously the best aproach angle but aswell i would like to have my winch not obstructing the radiator therefore that will probably make bumper stick out more. So my question is if i trimmed the front cross member to tuck the winch in more but reinforce it latitudinally and longitudinally with bracing and such will there still be a great loss in strength??

Any help is much appreciated and theanks for you input.

Mods please move this if this does not belong here!!

I did something like B.

We haven't seen any noticeable issues with a winch being in front of the radiator. I would build the bumper however you think is the best way to do it not worrying about the position of the winch and air flow to the radiator. As far as the bumper is concerned, more approach angle is always better.

you can sorta see mine in this pic, I built it as close as I could get it and I still manage to hit the lower lip. I don't think I would want mine out and further then it is.

I know that it doesnt effect it a lot but I just want my winch as low as possible so better airflow is just a benefit.

Here is a picture of one i built, and as you can see my angle is pretty flat. The key is not to build one that hangs too low. Jmo
