Well, I have finally been able to get work done on the XJ. I bought a bumper kit from Ukraine Train (aka Alex) from this post. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=935716 I think I got the first kit he shipped.
The laser cut parts are awesome as are the CNC bends. Everything fit perfect and I did not have to grind or fit anything. Just mocked everything together and welded. I did put the tie in plates on the XJ and tacked the center section together, then removed to weld everything up. I would have had all the welding done in one evening but I ran out of wire. Finished all the welding and did the finish grinding the next night. Total I have about 6 hours to the point that it's ready to paint. Awesome kit!
I went from this
To this
To this in two evenings of work
Now I am going to modify it even more from this point. That has been my plan from the start. Stay tuned to see what I do. More pics can be found at http://gallery.lisaandmike.org/carstuff
