Bump Stops...

I'm running a 3.5" RE kit on my '89 and have the bumpstops for it, but did not install them. Have any of y'all had problems bottoming out on your shocks? It just seems like if I install the bumpstops, it's going to limit articulation like crazy (since the bumpstops run about 2"). However, I usually drive on road (since I go to college in Williamsburg, there's not a whole lot of 4wheeling around here) it might be worth it to put them back on. Let me know what you think!

i would run bump stops. just cut them to the length you need you want them to hit b4 your shock bottoms out. your shocks are not made to be a bump stop. i have trashed 2 sets of front shocks by letting them b the bumpstops. just my $.02

I did bumpstops...

In the front was 3 hocky pucks...

In the rear, I did these extensions mainly to keep from overflexing the rear springs...

yeah... I could get a couple more inches of articulation... but this is good enough for me.... (actually, it had about another 1" to go before it hit the rear bumpstop)....

Yep I plan on setting up my bump stops for that same reason.
