your puddling and penetration looks good...and the welds look good too :D

Cheese "dont weld in flip flops, trust me" Man

If you do decide to box them in completely beware using flat plate under the control arm bolts. With flat plate welded directly to the mount may cause you not to be able to mount your control arms. Have seen it happen many times. I used a section of square tubing on mine and cut pieces of it to use as skips/gussets leaving the rounded corners on the piece to be welded to space them out some. Just a heads up just in case.

guilty of doing that... lol.

i still vote that you attach them to the tube. just as pete said, my first ones were folded over after some mild wheeling.

Dan, sounds like you better pack a 6-pack and a Hustler when you go wheeling b/c chances are that thing will fold like a taco.....

Cheese "not a pink one either" Man

Wait until the mount rips off the tube. Then you'll wish you had mini skids welded to the tube.

:shhh:

I'm definitely going to when i put the trussed housing I'm getting in this winter, I've seen people use U-bolt plates. That is probably the route I'm going, they are free and big and beefy.

been awhile, had to pull this off the second page.

In attempt to deal with cooling, mainly not knowing how hot it's going to be in Moab, I found some ZJ 5.9 hood vents...

Made a spacer for my Durango box...

Started on my HD Off Road stiffeners, I wanted to have my bumper fully removable so I did some trimming...

I also was able to get my front axle stuffed under the jeep. This made me feel real good because it's the first real noticeable change in a long time. So far I'm real happy with the IRO truss and long arms...

I currently have the rear set at it's lowest point and still have an old axle under the rear. I'm wanting to see where the front ends up once the winch and the rest of the motor and body are mounted on the front. I sat on the front LogansMetal4x4 bumper (very strong, it held me) and it dropped the front a couple inches, which I figure those parts will weigh around the 240 mark so it was a fair comparison. :D
