Break in run

So yesterday Colin (MoparManiac) and I went on a little break in run after all the work we've done to our Jeeps. Adam (realbigdundy87) rode shotgun and had camera duty.

The break in run turned into a break it run for me.

Me trying the hard side of the big rock face.

Airing it out since my longer shocks never came in due to the person put my wrong shipping address on the package. Notice the draglink and tie rod are parallel.

Also you can see where I dented the ARB where the winch should be.

There had been a heavy rain the day before, so there was a lot of run off from the area, which made this rock section into a stream

I can flex too. One of the rear reverse lights is still intact in this picture, they were both smashed by the end of the day.

Then I decided I didn't like my exhaust anymore.

Colin helping me remove it as the muffler became detached as well.

Colin sacrificing the muffler to the Jeep gods.

After this we just kept driving, didn't stop for any more pictures.

My damage for the day:
dented ARB bullbar
ripped off the muffler
dented rear bumper
smashed reverse lights
tons of rockrash on both diffs - Colin experienced this too.

I want your cameras...lol mine blows compared to yours so I didn't even bother.

I think I messed up that TRE at the pitman arm since there's a dead spot in my steering. Going to check it out tonight probably. Hopefully one of my jam nuts just loosened up or something.

Definitely an awesome time...and jeep gods love mufflers lol.

looks like fun, both of you have nice axle setups

I'm surprised that I like the color matched ARB, that looks nicer than I thought it might. Also I see you have the TJ Bushwacker up front, which do you have in the rear?

I dig Mopar's chrome window shades, I've been looking for some of those and can't find them

Those are TJ bushwackers all around. I needed something for inspection and a friend had them for dirt cheap, so I used what I could. They don't look too bad at times.

To put it this way, I was surprised the airbags didn't go off one of the times I hit that front bumper. The damage came from that big rock in the first couple pics. There was a period where Colin and Adam just kept yelling out what I was hitting/scraping. "Bumper" was used about 50 times, The diffs got it pretty good too. This was after the first big rock before we got to the stream.

I'll try to get the video up soon. I have a shot where I just drop right down onto the bumper.

where was this at? my friends and i used to go to Shutesbury and do the power lines out there. trails look pretty similar\

I don't think they make them anymore, they came with my rig when I bought it.

Adam had an extra set on his old '87, chrome and everything. When he junked it, I snagged em as a spare set.

They are SWEET when it's pouring out and the defroster can't keep up.

Well I take it you aren't going to help a buddy then... How do they come out? I think I saw a set at the junkyard

did you guys hit the new trails? We ended up wheelin some land only about 15 minutes from there

No we decided to stay away from the mud that day. We saw it, but we had already spent a great deal of time at the big rock face (I had a vendetta to settle with that rock), so we decided to just skip it since we didn't have a winch, and there had been a lot of rain the day before.

Nah we didn't hit the new trails, as Begster was saying, didn't really have the time. It was about a 1.5 hr ride out there for us. So we left at around 3-330.

Yeah I saw you said you were running some UJ private land? No pics up?

We should all get together for some wheelin.

Hehe, sorry man I love them things. If you find them at a junkyard, just knock them straight down. After it starts going down, just knock one side down further than the other and it should be able to clear the window rails. Make sense? They just kind of sit in the rails tightly.

This place is safe to go to again? I know there was alot of heat on it for awhile.

There was? I don't know I hadn't heard anything. Saw another club out there that day as well.

looks awesome, glad to see you got your jeep setup nice and its workin out well for ya, begster. looks like both of ya had a great day. always a great day when you get to make a damage list haha. I'm looking forward to that video you have to post...

The steering still isn't 100%, I need to replace the box, and the RE 1/2" superflex joint ball that I got a month ago somehow has a hole that is bigger than 1/2", so there is play in it there. Ask Colin, he saw me doing some nice wandering on the Pike.

Finally got to best buy. I'll get to uploading most of the video by tonight onto my computer.

This is to show the abuse the ARB went through.
WARNING: The word "bumper" is said alot, and Colin swears, so nsfw.

The last clip I was surprised the airbag didn't go off. I guess I gave it a little to much gas, as I wasn't sure where exactly I was in relationship to the rock.
