looking for some brake pads that are better than the rest. I have the stronger engine so naturally I drive it harder than it was meant to be driven.

so far I have tried
raybestos
bendix
Performance Friction
and others and none have lasted very long. the performance friction ones being the most fade resistant, but also having a very short life.

in the rear in trying motorcraft pads. so far so good.

I want a brake pad that doesnt wear to nothing in 10000 miles. then the next priority is fade resistance. One cheap set i could litteraly have the brakes smoking just after a few hard stops.

Just recently installed Performance Friction carbon metallic brake pads to my strokered '92 XJ. So far they work great and hardly produce any dust at all.

If the performance fricton pads wore out you need to adjust your driving style! I have 70K on mine and they are still over half original thickness. You might also adjust the rear brakes - you may not be getting any braking from them if the adjusters are not working (which is most of them)
