Picked this jeep up for 600 dollars has some engine noise I'm hoping it's the fly wheel it's a 96 with 235k has a bunch of new parts and the body is super straight... planning on keeping it smaller 31 to 32 inch tires small lift.... first thing is getting this noise fixed.... I will get some more pics tomorrow

Re: New rig

Yup I will be going the junkyard lift like you MJ thunderbird coils and a basterd pack I'd like to ru MJ main leaf so I can get a better shackle angle

Re: New rig

i need a new driver seat the seat is crooked and messing my back up already.... the back is twisting towards the passenger and the seat is turned towards the driver door so its all bad

Re: New rig

Well I got my garage cleaned and my jeep moved into it...

I also picked up a block from Tommy with 156k on it from a rolled jeep he parted out.... I am pretty sure it's a renix block so I am not sure what I will run into with me having a 96. I also pulled the front end off and radiator tonight now that I got the jeep in its resting spot.

I also did the Oil filter adapter bypass and am using an oversized oil filter

I had to make a mount for the coil because the block is from renix and the coil mounts to the fender and my jeep is a 96 the coil mounts to the block. The coil is just about in the stock location..

I had to grind the alternator bracket down to make a flat surface for the plate to set on

I painted the plate and have to take tomorrow off to try and get the engine back into the jeep..

Re: New rig

I wasn't aware that there was that much room between the block and frame to run a large filter in that location.
You want to donate your old OFA 3/4x16 threaded insert to me? Haha.

There isn't I dropped the engine in and the filter wouldn't fit so it's back to a stock size filter... where you located you can have that insert too

Picked up a bumper from Kevin

Got the engine in and the jeep running!!!!! Had to adjust the timing.... Spent about an hour messsing with it and got it.... I started it with the valve cover off and listened for some tapping had to adjust 2 bolts a little tighter. Got the valve cover on and took it for a test drive.

Need to wait till i get some extra cash for diff fluid then i can start the swap onto the white jeep

Re: New rig

I think that you should name this Jeep Paul Bunyan since you have the big blue jeep too.

Re: New rig

I am in need of a center console and lid. Passenger side Kick panel plastic, and most importantly a driver side seat... i would like it to match but i will be happy with anything..
