blown XJ

Just cut a hole in the hood and throw a hood scoop on. It wouldnt be even but it could work with the right one. I saw a guy running one down here but I was late so I couldnt go race him.

How much horse would this produce @ 6lbs?
Here's an example of an untuned rimmer set-up (@ 5lbs IIRC). The setup uses an M90 charger.

Here's an example of Think Performance charger (it's actually a second gen rimmer setup)

neither of those setups was ECU tuned or intercooled, so there's allot of room for more tuning.

505 Performance is awfully proud of their stuff and isn't too forthcoming on presales information.

Another reason just to put a stroker in it and call it a day! :D

I like the mounting of the 505 setup, the post on pirate was on a wrangler and the M90 is mounted in place of the AC compressor, I would like to keep my AC, but the eng. compartment is just so tight on the driver side! I will play with this idea over the summer, i just purchased a 69 GMC sierra grande so i have something else to drive while playing with the jeep. The friend who gave me the M90 does custom turbo set-ups for a living so he said he'd make the brackets for me, I just have to come up with the mounting location and belt routing.

There's a guy that managed to hack an M90 on the passengers side. I saw it on youtube.

Also, XJ armor is working on a centrifugal supercharger set-up that mounts on the passenger's side
(but you have to ditch your AC compressor... which sucks ass)

Your comments are logical, but where's the fun in that?
Ask yourself, who would you rather bring to a kegger... George Bush Jr or Spock?

I was thinking of that supercharger on my stroker.. :)
which one? the 505 unit?
They removed the 4.0L supercharger off their site a while back, but I know they still sell the tuned FTC seperately (for DIY supercharger applications).

I want an M-90 on my stroker.

My dad has a home built CNC mill that can do more than some of the setups I have seen in fab shops and some colleges. So I am looking to find the specs for, and make the pieces to do it myself. Just got to find the time to take leave and do it after I find the blower.

I used it to make the spacer I needed for my brake booster swap, and next time I go home I will use it to make some 4.7 badges and new cherokee emblems, time permitting.

After we finished building their house a few years ago, and especially after we swapped 2 motors, mom stopped questioning dad on the need for new tools and equipment. He has gotten a lot of neat new tows since then.

I've never heard of Rimmer?
The guy phased in and out of business a couple times. To my understanding, back in 95 he offered superchargers for Jeep 2.5L, 4.0L and 5.2L motors. He also offered a supercharger for the Landrover 4.0L V8, but I'm not sure when that happened.

He went out of business only to come back later with a revised 4.0L supercharger. It was featured here http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techar..._jeep_xj_cherokee_supercharger_kit/index.html. The Think Performance stampede supercharger was built off exact set-up (who knows... maybe it was Rimmer's company). They went belly up a few years ago.

I have no idea what happened to Rick Rimmer since.
