two things:

1. I hope KP et al is having more luck than I
2. Replacing the CPS on my 88 Manche is pissin' me off! Off to the store to buy a flex head 7/16 wrachet.

i gotta replace the cps on mine tooo..... it's a real pain in the nutz. i'm iguana wait till it's warmer to mess with mine. i'm ready for sunny flip flop and shorts weather!

I bought a set stubby flex ratcheting wrenches. That really made the removal process so much easier. I'm not particularly excited about trying to thread the bolts back in.

it might be easier to get to if you stick a floor jack under the back of the tranny and take the four bolts out of the crossmemmememember

let it down a little and you may be able to reach it better from the top and bottom.

its kind of like a choose your own adventure...

I just gotta rant a little bit.

So I replaced the CPS, and the hunk o junk ran; roughly, but it ran.

Two days later (today), I got it started but it sounded like it was running only half the cylinders or something. I mean, it was barely idling. Every time I touched the gas, it immediately died. Third time of it running, something weird happened and the truck died.

Now it won't start at all. Grrrrr. Sometimes, I wish I bought one that was already nice. Stupid POS.

Sorry. I should never have told you about it.

Not your fault.

Part of the irritation is that it was running then in the middle of it idling it died and now it's not running at all.
