Bilstein Shocks-any input on ride help appreciated

Anyone had bilstein shocks? I have Rancho RS9000x's right now, and they hit bumps like they are welded together. Terrible. Even on the lowest setting. On top of this harshness, they don't control the body that well. Anyone else had this problem with them? I do have poly bushings and slightly stiffer front springs. I was just wondering if the Bilsteins would give me a better ride/handling tradeoff, or if they would be too stiff. I don't mind a firm ride, I just hate when the vehicle jolts soo bad when hitting bumps. Please help.

I have 5125s in stiffer valving. They are great. As long as you get ones valved properly you will love them.
