We are putting a RE 3.5 Super ride on our '88 XJ and are using the JKS Bar Pin Eliminators. My guess is to get the Bilsteins made for 4" lift, Right?
Thanks.
Martin.

You are right, I think the bar pins will take about 1/2" off. I was just not sure because I have seen reports that the RE 3.5" lift turned out more than 4" of lift.
Thanks.

This may sound stupid, but if in doubt do the lift and then measure. You dont want to end up with shocks that are the wrong length. Just an idea

Get the set for 4" lift, bar pins and everything else is included in the calculation and the 3.5" kit will be more like 4.5"

Thanks,
I figured the 4" Bilstein would be the choice since I have read these reports that the 3.5 lift turns out to be more than 4".
I want to do the lift in one day with the help of my mechanic. I am trying to get all the parts together and take it to the shop and hope to drive out that same day.
So far I have:
Rigid bumper installed
Warn 9.5 installed
Rigid rocker rails, installing this week.
Rigid rear bumper ordered.

RE. 3.5" Super Ride
RE. track bar
JKS Disco'S
JKS Bar Pin Eliminators
Bilsteins 4" will be ordered tomorrow.

I guess the only thing that I am looking for now is wheels and probably TRXSS Tires.
Should I get 15x8 or wider wheels?

Got a question on your JKS Bar Pin Eliminators

Are you doing both front and rear with Bar Pin Eliminators?

Say you break the bolts on the top rear mounts inside the nut, so do you drill and tap out the bolt? Is the bolt holes in the Bar Pin big enough to fit an oversided bolts in them?

Or do you get rid of the nut and get a new one?

I think I'm gonna go with 5150's[bling factor w/ the remote res] for the front and 5125's for the rear on mine.

Yes I am doing front and rear JKS BPE. How it is going together, I don't know yet but will do my research and will be prepared for all the trouble that may come my way. Sorry I can't help you with advice regarding these(yet).
I intend to put at least 31" tires on.
