Big Bear in August

Guys I appreciate the offers of letting me join you in your rigs, but I didn't get my classroom finished yet so I will have to put some time into my classroom this weekend. I'll catch you guys next time.

It was a great weekend! We ran Gold Mountain on Saturday which took most of the day due to a late start and we ran into a group of about 40 Jeeps in front of us and had to wait our turn halfway up the mountain. More to come soon!
 
Cant wait till Webdog can get a link to those pics up, i was looking through them and i got some great shots of your rig flexin HeepSpeed

No problem Zac. I'm looking forward to you getting your Jeep done. Once I sort out pics from others and video too, I'll put up a trip report. Until then, any of you guys are welcome to do it too!

Todd - dirtbiking Gold Mountain looked brutal. Got any knobs left on that rear tire?
Tyler - my twin and chef for the trip in exchange for not paying for gas (including after refried beans ;))

We had a GREAT potluck on Saturday. EVERYONE, and I mean, EVERYONE pulled their weight on that one by bringing items. Started with salsa and guac, then carne asada, ground beef, chicken tacos with lettuce, guac, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, refried beans, chipotle pasta salad, and of course for dessert and strawberry cheesecake and a 19 year old girl's dirty thong!!! Yikes, did I bring that up? :D

I saw you guys out there, almost to the top of gold mountain. I was in a all black 2001 xj, with a tan one following me. You guys were all stopped on the side of the trail Saturday at around 2:00 p.m.
 
great write up ... next time i'm running with u guys... its was nice to just relax though i needed it so bad... but next trip its on like donkey kong
