Better mileage w/o the Gas cap?????
Ok with everyone having to pull money out of hats to buy gas, I though I would share this.
The wife and I left this morning to have some fun in the Florida 'Glades, we live in north georgia, while filling up I was in a hurry and mistakenly left my gas cap hanging in the door, I reset my tripmeter to clock my mileage and it was great... 17mpg, once I stopped again and realized the cap wasn't on I thought it would only get better if I put it on,so I did.....now..... using the same grade of gas FROM THE SAME FRIGGIN' COMPANY, I got 14 miles with the cap on. Most fuel injection systems have to pull a vacumn, what happened here? No engine (idiot) light, but the milage was alot better.
