Best way to resize pictures

My digital camera takes friggin huge mb pictures. Is there a way to easily resize them on my PC? I can't seem to figure out how to do it with any of the default photo editing/paint programs on my pc.

look up on the net this program: irfanview. IT's great cause it does batch conversions, so you can set it on a whole directory full of big pics

why dont you just change the pixel size or resolution on the camera?

If you have windows xp just get the XP image resizer

then you can just right click and resize

why dont you just change the pixel size or resolution on the camera?

You can always generate thumbs or smaller images, but getting good images larger than what you're starting with usually doesn't turn out well.
