Dont you need a blue name before you can advertise on NAXJA? Post reported as spam!:firedevil

Can someone explain the part in red though? You dont need it, but we have included it anyway?:twak:

Ha...wouldn't be surprised if I saw them try to post that drivel on NAXJA.

Yeah, so many things wrong with that ad it makes my head spin. I'm pretty sure I know where they're located as I pass it everyday going to and from work.

Glad they're "100% insured," since it looks like they'd probably need it.

Seems to be a case of a few guys who "built" their rigs and thought to themselves "Hey lookie what we done did! I bet we could make some monies if we done what we did here to other people's stuff!"

Not surprisingly, this is how 99% of businesses are started....lol

Just ran across this guy. Is this a decent deal?

Both trucks are indeed Eliminators. They have the correct wheels, and interior package (buckets with full console and carpeted door trim.)

Both are over priced. The primer one is probably more like a $2200-$2500 truck if the mileage is decent and the body isn't full of filler. The other truck is hideous looking and worth about the same. '88 model year was the largest production number for the Comanche. It will also have the Peugeot trans. The '90 has the auto...... a bit more rare. Both trucks will have disco D30's but both should have D44 rear axles.

only starting?!

I don't really view trim packages on MJs as important. It's all bolt-on stuff, the only things I care about are that I get one with buckets and a slider rear window, maybe a center console, the rest is 100% things I can gank off any XJ at the junkyard and bolt on at my leisure. I only care about the center console because I'm not sure how much work it is to find and add the MJ specific parts to an XJ console, like the handbrake blockoff plate and the skirt changes at the back to match the different floorboards.

I had a late model xj console in my mj. It was not difficult to fit, and looked good. Yella likely has a pic or two...

Awesome, that's what I plan on putting in my 88 MJ once I get the 5.9 and nv4500 swapped in. My only concern is finding a way to make the nv4500 shifter line up with the shift boot hole in the XJ/MJ console, between the v8 sitting further forward and the nv4500 shifter being closer to the bellhousing front face it's gonna be interesting.

I really need to strip down an XJ interior (again...) and see if there's any space between the firewall and the HVAC box / dash in a few spots so I can maybe just section and patch the firewall to make space for the engine further back. To the best of my knowledge no one has done a 5.9/nv4500 into an XJ/MJ with a 100% stock appearing interior without any hacking so this is going to require some more thought.

Bring a CPS, push it into the street after buying it, change the CPS and drive it home :eyes:

Either CPS or coil. The last two times one of my heeps wouldn't start, it was the coil.

Not all , but most offroad shops suck . ifact some of the shops run by the do it yourselfer rig builders are better than the big name shops .

$1800 is over the top for this , and if asking double that you're going to need a buyer who has no clue .

He originally listed it at $1300. He's since posted that he replaced a sensor and coil and now it runs so he's asking $1800 for it.

Yeah, you'd never get $3600, and woulda been hard pressed to get $2600 before the fix. But it'd make a good cheap 'wheeler for someone wanting to keep and use it.

I think running it may be worth about $1300 . I look at this XJ as basicly a stock 93 with high miles on it and a body in poor shape since it has nothing much done to it other than a cheap lift and some 31s . it's said to be regeared to 4.56 , which is really not a selling point sitting on 31s with no lockers and stock axles.
