Yep, goober status confirmed. I had sent an e-mail to the guy selling those "'97" body parts letting him know he might want to confirm the year and edit his ad so someone doesn't get doors that won't work (not that they'd buy 'em at his rediculous asking price.... )

His reply:

"there were two styles of jeep from 97. the new and old styles. they are from a 97."

Yeah, I saw he'd changed the ad to reflect '87 as the year the parts were from. It's all good, at least he's not going to cause anyone an issue with parts they can't use.

that ad's pretty funny, 87 and 97... only a decade off and oxidized to hell :dunno: definitely worth boatloads!

FYI, some confusion I've seen recently... 97 was a split year on door hinges. Some got the 96- style some got the 97.5+ style. Also, all hoods (at least 87-up 4.0L compatible, I know diddly squat about earlier ones than that) are swappable and look the same. My 98 had an early 90s hood on it when I got it (was white, it's a red jeep so I got a new one) and my 91 now has the hood from a 99 on it.

Distributor cap with wires for 258. Cap is like new as are wires, they're just dirty from sitting. - $10 (or a sixer)

Complete distributor, rotor, cap, and wires for 360. The distributor is used (but nicely hand polished!), but the cap, rotor, wires, and points are all brand new. - $20

Oil pressure sending unit for AMC 360. - $5

4" DPA for CJ. - $40

Two sets of points (one with condenser) and ballast resistor for AMC 360. - $5 (or a sixer)

Pair of seat belts for a CJ. - $5
