Ya know... It might actually be a good buy.
For 3k, you'd end up with a strong motor and tranny, upgraded axles, upgraded steering, and a clean XJ, and you could sell off all the other crap and probably make a good amount of your $$ back.

I don't know whether to take this seriously or not.... It reminds me of another controversial thread that popped up recently that also had a big rig with some potential parts but was built chitty:twak:

Like Led said...... that's nothing but a 1/2 ton Chevy truck with an XJ mounted to the frame. Nothing "upgraded" about it. Stock D44 front/10 bolt rear likely, stock steering except whatever he cobbled together to mate the XJ column to the Chevy box or XJ box to Chevy steering.

Leave it for the Kentucky Mud-necks. They'll put 44" Swampers on it and have fun with it.

Yeah... and? Scrap the frame and sell all of the shiny things. You then have a strong drivetrain and XJ (its just sitting on top of the frame) and all you really need is axle bracketry, suspension and tires, and some steering mods. And with some sweet talkin you could probably get Troy to sledgehammer those chrome exhaust tips off to use as trail spares for Truggy's ex-yota tip :D

LOL - Gawd yer a goob. What are you gonna attach all those drivetrain parts to if you scrap the frame? Spend months fabbing stuff to make it all fit? Driver-drop t-case/front axle and all?
