Interesting. I thought those project trucks from those shows had to be torn apart and scrapped when they were done with them. I imagine that XJ is originally from Tennessee then, since that's where the show is based.

IIRC, they didn't do a real good job with the rear fender cutout to install those BW's..... as in cut out the pinch seam.

Dunno that it's worth $9K....... but kinda interesting.

I think they look cool. If I get another Super Duty, it'll get some whackers. And yeah, I'll admit it's just for looks.

BUT, on a Jeep, where they'll actually be used, they're pointless. All they do is give you a larger profile on the rocks, more sh!t to scrape off. And frankly, they're WAY too expensive to be used on the rocks.

If I was going to do a false ad on CL, I would be much more creative than that.

Like the time I posted "Huge box of porn" under the FREE section. I proceeded to put my brothers phone number on it and hit the POST button. I called him an hour later and he said he had over 30 calls from nasty old dudes asking for the "big box of porn".

Back in college we used to use this one website IP-Relay.com to prank people. Its a website for deaf people so they can type to an operator and the operator calls the person and speaks for the deaf guy all online. We were young and didnt use it for its use, so instead we would type out profane paragraphs and have the operator call someone we knew. No matter what you type, they have to say it. Sometimes we would just type out "ohhhh baby ka ka fa fa la la ohhhhhhhh ga ga ga im a big fat baby". The funny part about it, is waking up in the middle of the night and having the phone ring with an operator speaking profanely and jibberish to you and you have no idea who its coming from.

Indeed. The build thread for that - calls it the "stupidru" - is over on CO4x4. He's got it listed for $2900 there as well, but he's not the guy that built it.

You couldn't buy the tires, axles and coil overs for what he's asking.

It's a high quality build too. Hopefully someone will buy it and wheel it........ but I imagine it may get parted out...... shame if it does.
