Best dates for Hot Springs?

btw i'll be in a white xj with tj flares

I made it home from Superlift ORV Park. Les, John myself made it there. Those two are heading home Monday. We Wheeled all day Friday and all day Saturday. Awesome. DOn't believe we hit the same trail twice. a lot of trails left to see. Ramsey and his friend made it up late Saturday. Les broke a front axle and his rear hatch window. John, well, John almost went over, at least three times. Johns wife Cindy kept us fed all weekend. (Thanks CIndy) More details and photos to follow.

had a great time. thanks for the food john, and thanks for the help les. today john claimed a rear quarter window, i bent a tie rod and broke a hub. never would have thought those old farts could wheel :laugh3: glad you made it home ok. see yall next time

Made it home this morning about 8am ... well at least I was at the local lumber yard having a piece of plexiglass cut for the rear hatch window. It's installed and ready for a beatin' ... I hate fawking glass!

I'll post us a link to pics as soon as I get settled. BTW ... Hot Springs is a great place. A lot like Paragon, but the rocks are very loose and slippery. I'd recommend this place to anyone and am looking forward to going back.

Les

PS: Ramsey ... It was nice meetin' and wheelin' with you and Phillip Saturday. Glad to see you made it home OK. Now go fix those brakes!! ;)

that does seem kinda familiar

Ya know Ramsey, we did not take any of the "bad" pictures, and we won't tell anyone that you and Phillip shared a tent together ... we don't want to take anything away from the guff we give Ranger (and his buddy Billy).

BTW ... why did you guys sleep so late Sunday morning? :D

Les

look here you old fawk, dont make me come up there and kick your ass. :laugh3:

wow that was weak

Well, Cindy and I got home about 1:30 this morning. Didn't really plan on driving all the way home, but a real bed sounded much better than another night in the tent. :speepin:

Definately had a good time wheelin' with y'all, despite the minor carnage. Got the plexiglass in, just need to weld the caps on the new axle shaft, and get the front 44 in before my stock tie-rod snaps from being bent up and back down so many times :dunce:

Got about 170 pics... I'll post a few and put a bunch on my webshots page in the next couple days, then try to find time to look at all the video Cindy took and maybe burn some DVDs

Hell John ... I thought the tent site was pretty comfortable ... so I threw a shovel full of pea gravel under my sheets when I got home. ;)

Glad you guys made it home fine. I'm working on the pics I took ... not near as many as what you guys did. Hope to have them uploaded soon too.

Les

I have 70 pics. I plan on posting a few in the next couple days. Back to work kind of cramps my 4x4 life.

Ok, got a few pics up. Supposedly I can create more web pages on Comcast, but I just beat my brains out trying to figure it out, and can't get anything like my old site, which is maxed out.
First off, the tent camping area at the park is not real tow vehicle friendly, especially if it's a 1 ton with fresh springs, motorhome swaybar, and a 4 degree departure angle. Fifteen minutes after arrival...

Bob proved once again that a mildly built XJ can go most places the more heavily modded ones go

Les got hung up on this little speed bump...

Damn trees... This one had a knob sticking out right at the perfect height to get the window... But another one saved me from laying the heep on it's side, so I guess we're even
