Since plenty of folks who seem to know about tapping chimed in, might as well ask here 
How much resistance should I get with a 7/8" tap cutting at 75%+ Thread depth? I am looking at a couple tap wrenches that should fit the 1/2" square shank of my taps.
So would you recommend getting the larger tap wrench for added leverage? Or do you think the smaller tap wrench will provide enough leverage to cut the threads?

- One wrench appears to be approx 16" long (the 1/2" square shank is close to the largest you can use with it... which is fine, I shouldn't need much larger than that ever...)
- The other looks to be about 24" long and the 1/2" square shank is close ot the smallest you can use with it...
So would you recommend getting the larger tap wrench for added leverage? Or do you think the smaller tap wrench will provide enough leverage to cut the threads?
