Barnwell

Oh... I forgot to do the map thing for you. If I remember tonight when I get off of work I will do it and email it to you.

Well guys Barnwell Cleanup went pretty well.... I figured out why we couldn't figure out where the hell we were at on X-way. X-way actually starts as an offshoot of Whatever, and where we went into X-way is actually what most people call the exit of X-way. We got assigned to pick up a LOT of trash up front around the dumpster area, and we also helped setup the food they cooked for everyone lunch. After lunch we just rode trails and picked up all the trash we saw for the rest of the day. Tried out some trails I haven't run before, and had a blast.

Sorry about not getting the map to you.. I didn't get home on friday till 11 pm and had to do a 24 hr shift on Saturday, so when I got home I went straight to bed.

Its cool.... think the one area we liked was at the top of Greenlane, but after looking at it a little more closely, I am not sure it would be such a good camp. I did scope out several more places, and I also looked at other organizations camps while I was out there. LSJC had a small pavillion built on their camp, and some of the other camps were nice as well. I found several areas that just had some little grassy hilltops with a few trees that might work well.

yeah that area at greenway was the start of a few trails.

Yeah that is what i was thinking, there are several trailheads right in that vacinity, and we might be blocking access if we were to set up camp there.

this is the area I was thinking about. It's nice and flat on top with trees. Main road access and looks to be a few places to park tow rigs.

Sure... if he sets one up himself and isn't affraid of getting in trouble for doing so in a dry county.
