Is there anywhere to get good bbq out here, maybe towards west Sac? I went up to Woodland and tried Ludy's BBQ today. It was good, but I've had better. So where can I get good bbq, short of going down to the south?

I'm still trying to find good eats around Sac since I moved here from Chicago, the home of really good food. I know that Hungry Hog bbq in Santa Rosa has really good bbq ribs and makes their own sauce. The cook, owner, is from New Orleans and makes awesome baby back ribs & St. L ribs. They also have jamablia, crab cakes, etc. It is off of Mission rd across from Walgreens in a little strip mall. Let me know if you know other places, because I'd like to know as well. Good Chicago Style deep dish pizza is in downtown Folsom at Chicago Fire Pizza (they also have asesome hot roast beef sandwiches) & also downtown Sac @ Zelda's O st & 21st I believe. Just my 2 cents. I'm still tring to find good gyros.

We've got Murder Burger out here in Davis....oh wait, they renamed it "Redrum Burger." It's pretty good, but it's no bbq, just burgers. If I'm out towards Santa Rosa, I may have to try Hungry Hog.

I can't believe that they don't have any bbq out in Sacramento, though.

for real though, there is a really good, hole in the wall, and pretty cheap place just outside of Grass Valley. If don't remember the name, but if you're really interested I could figure it out and get you directions. Or hey, this summer, we'll go wheelin Fordyce and drive through Grass Valley on the way back.

My dad just got one of this model for himself, retirement gift I guess. Makes real good bbq.
Yeah, after I finish showing you what a longbed can do, we can go get some Q.
