Not that it's going to change the opinions of most of the people here, but one of my lifelong best friends is an engineer at banks, so i periodically get an inside line on whats going on there..
the older banks torque tube was engineered for performance and durability was somewhat overlooked.. and they know it.
it was a recent project to re-engineer the product with durability in specific mind - i can't say when the updated header will start hitting the publics hands (it may have already, i'm not *that* in the loop) but its one of those things you shouldnt let hold you back.. in theory at least, the days of having to replace your header 6 or 7 times should be over.
that said, i run a borla header.
