Cool Vid...what broke in the rear axle?

Saw you from the BFG pit ( I think it was pit 3) and you were still running.

We went down way south at RM350. Axle seal leakage issue is what we believe caused our issue. Melted all of the teeth off of the pinion.

Damn, that's ugly!!

I remember adding a lot of gear oil to that rear diff when we won in '09. Each stop someone was assigned to crawl underneath and add gear oil. The center section took a big hit and was leaking bad around the gasket.


Bet that wasn't a pretty sound....
