Alright... it ended up being three of us out there. silver6sp7 (Brian) and his friend Ken were there in his rig, and Craig (cabjeepster) and his girlfriend Stacey came out. All in all, a good day of wheeling. Craig and I went through green trail, then ended up back at the quarry and found Brian. Went through and did what appeared to be orange trail, but it wasn't all that difficult, even for me on 33s open/open, so I'm sure we missed the hard parts of it. Stacey took lots of pics which I'm sure will get posted here at some point. Nobody got stuck, we had a few deep spots to pass through but nothing major. I had to leave early but I think everyone else is still out there, so there might be more carnage that I don't know about.
My big adventure for the day:
We were standing around figuring out what to do next, and I noticed a burning smell. Not real concerned, since my oil pan leaks oil on my exhaust and I smell that all the time. But this was different. Looked under my Jeep and my LCA was on fire(!), well, not really, it was melting insulation from the fat wire going to the starter that dripped down onto the LCA. When I removed my vac disconnect stuff for the front axle, I couldn't find a way to get the hard (steel) vac lines out of the way, so I left them. Apparently they bounced around enough against the positive wire to rub through the insulation, which then grounded out and caused both my positive and engine block ground wires to melt. Broke out the

-required fire extinguisher, then Ken electrical taped everything and we continued on. Time to go find 5-90 and get some of those nice wiring kits...
Oh and Flexd I still can't believe you bailed on us...
