Badlands Run on the 25th

I will be up there the 25th with a buddy who just got home from Iraq and is itching to get the XJ out. There are a couple of others in town going too. I hope they have tow points but i'm not counting on it. If you are interested let me know. I may camp at summers on saturday night.

Ha! So you know Russ Huh? I think i may be the only one with tow hooks going other than Russ. I hope he is trailering it! I'll be sure to get pics of him getting stuck...............and probably me too! Is he on here?

I've been itching to do some wheeling since the Redbird cleanup! I'm going to try to make it out for at least a day (but I can easily be talked into camping and wheeling two days). The trailer needs new axles so I might chance it and just drive the XJ out. Hopefully we can get a decent-sized group out there, I am kicking myself for missing "SpringFest" and the June runs that people posted about.

Also I should have some "custom" rockers/sliders installed by then too... similar style to my bumpers.

Hopefully not the one on the passenger side knuckle, since it's part of the drag link and you'll have to replace the whole thing. Smart design choice. :twak:

Unless you have upgraded steering, but I don't recall seeing that on your rig.

No its not on the knuckle. It is replaceable.

If a stocker with rails can make it through green you'll be fine.

I said in another thread that i would try and make it down, but i realised that i am going on vacation starting that weekend and heading to silverlake the weekend after that so i will have to see how the cashflow is before i am sure but it may be a good way to start a vacation

Yea not too too worried, but never had this rig out before. Ive been to badlands many times with some real beaters, but not with a solid, long arm rig. I don't have any armor yet, but runnin a 6.5" long arm kit with 35's, welded rear(for now), over the knuckle steering.

You'll do great then. My rig is low so Armor was first on the Agenda for me. If you run anything in Pink or Orange you might need it with your setup but you could run green all day no issues.

I'm still in! So far I count three of us with REWSTER as a maybe.

silver6sp7, it sounds like you will have the most built rig there!

Is everyone planning on a single day of wheeling (Saturday) or is anyone camping? Badlands or Summers for camping? I live about a 1/2 hour away so it doesn't matter either way but I'd stay and camp for the camaraderie if nothing else

no camping here, got races at 41 sunday. Its not really built, still needs ALOT!!! but like I said before, gotta start somewhere.But it will be a great time either way.
