Alright, the XJ is not gonna make it...
The guy who was doing my gears this week had to re-schedule for next week, death in the family.
And since it's not gonna be re-geared and locked, for this weekend, I'm gonna hold off re-installing the "quick-release" rock rail until next week when Swap is going to come out and help Rory with it. I'd rather see it go on correctly rather than rigging it for the weekend.

BUT, we are still going!! I will be riding shotty with Rory... he really should let me wheel that Rubi. :roflmao:

I don't think we're gonna camp... I haven't told him about the night wheeling-garbage picker thing yet, though. He may wanna do that and camp... night wheeling at the Badlands sounds kinda cool. I think he'll disagree when I tell him we have to fill his purty Rubi with trash in order to do so.
 
Okay, here's my deal... I wheeled the wife's XJ last weekend while she was away, and dented all 4 doors... I washed it, and she didn't even notice. She's away yet again, so I'm up for an instant replay. I'll be camping at Summers Friday & Saturday nights. I do not plan on cleaning up the dump, I only do that on public parkland. In private parks, I will exchange trail clearing services for free admission at a later date.

Also, I wished this was one more weekend away. I am picking up an 86 locked and lifted from another guy on this site and would love to join all of you....Jay...

Gang, Jay here was driving one of the Liberties that we ran into on the extreme downhill at Carnagefest where Paula tore off her rock rail, just to put things into perspective. I ran into him at the Land of Lincoln event last weekend and showed him what XJs can do. :moon:

Jay, can't wait to see what you picked up.

Well, Damn. Not gonna make it. Had two tow rigs brake down. WIll try to make the next gathering. Oh and i have gone through the tubes in badlands. water was ABOVE my 32" tires. Never died, and crawled right out. and no snorkle.

Well dont know if i will do it again, I guess if i was there i would. My buddy in his cj5 on 35s came behind me and as soon as he dropped off the edge his engine got wet and died. I had to back up to him and pull him out. silly cjs

I'm sorry, I will be a little late.

The Cubbies had a double header today, and the trash is everywhere.

I will be stuck cleaning up the mess until way late.

but the good news is I'll get the Chicago Tribune delivered to my house for an ENTIRE WEEK for free!!!!!!

The batteries in the digi cam died right after Brad did that wicked drop on orange so I have no pics of Les and Mark on the trails. Sorry, guys!! :(

Once I figure out where Rory hosted the pics, I'll post a link.

The funniest part of the day was when Zandie locked Mark out of the XJ!!! :laugh2:
The golf cart extraction was awesome!!! And nice job recovering Ryan, that was insane.

Can't wait until next time!! :cheers:
