Bacon Vodka
makes up one pint

Fry up three strips of bacon.
Add cooked bacon to a clean pint sized mason jar. Trim the ends of the bacon if they are too tall to fit in the jar. Or you could go hog wild and just pile in a bunch of fried up bacon scraps. Optional: add crushed black peppercorns.
Fill the jar up with vodka. Cap and place in a dark cupboard for at least three weeks. That’s right- I didn’t refrigerate it.
At the end of the three week resting period, place the bacon vodka in the freezer to solidify the fats. Strain out the fats through a coffee filter to yield a clear filtered pale yellow bacon vodka.

Decant into decorative bottles and enjoy.

I will be making bacon vodka.... I already make my own ameretto so why not bacon vodka? I'll let you know how it turns out... :)

PS- Some may be coming to a WinterFest near you.... ;)

I was watching the travel channel last night and Anthony Bourdains show was on . He went to a restaurant in Chicago i think that had a sandwich called the 3 little pigs. It consisted of a breaded pork cutlet, ham, bacon and grier(sp?) cheese. I was drooling when i saw that thing.

Man, that does sound good. I had a breakfest at a diner in Iowa that was called "The Three Little Pigs" it was kind of the same thing that consisted of bacon, sausage, ham and a couple eggs and hasbrowns etc. It was a pork filled meal that was tasty! Probably took a few years off my life once I completed it :D

I had the Cheddar butterburger with bacon from Culver's for dinner last night! :D

bacon? i deal with it every day ;)

Anybody ever had a Luther Burger? It's a bacon cheeseburger with a grilled (or deep fried) Krispy Kreme donut in place of the bun. Not sure if I can say Mmmmm to this or not, in spite of the bacon.
