Back Up Lights

My back up lights have stopped work entirely. I've checked and changed the lamps and what I can see of the wiring looks okay...anybody got some tips?

something about the neutral safety switch and old dilectric grease...do a search or im sure somebody will chime in

4 out of 5 dentists recommend checking your Neutral Safety Switch(NSS), if have any auto tranny. It's a very common problem. If you have a manual, it's a separate switch (on the shifter?)

Do a search--you will find more info than you wanted.

jeepin.com has a great write up on how to remove and clean the NSS.

Not sure if it is mentioned, but white lithium grease makes it really easy to slide the switch off the post.

It's also rather brittle, especially in this colder weather.
