Back halfing an xj

Well im planning on cutting the xj in half and am looking for advise/ experience/ picks on how you tied the rear tube structure into the front halfs unibody. i will be cutting just behind the windshield on the roof and just ahead of the b piller on the floor. from there back all 1-3/4" .125 wall dom. also i am planning on making one large skidplate similar to t&t's that my front and rear links will atach to so i have a solid plated / sleved uni body on the "frame" let me know or show me how you tied into this please thanks.

Lots of different ideas out there. Check out FarmerMatt's build. I decided to holesaw the rail, run a few tubes through it and plate it inside and out (tacked to the body and welded solid to the tubes)...effectively "sandwiching" the rail. Seemed to give a really strong base to start tying tube into......
