Doing a laundry list of mods to my second wheeler as the buggy is in a good wheelin holding pattern...for now (til I can afford a real buggy build)

Will document here.
Starting with this:

Specs on what I've done so far:
1996 Jeep XJ d30 front, d44 rear, 4.10s, detroit trutrac front, detroit locker rear, JCR front bumper, TNT rockrails, multimount winch.

Phase II plans:
The slightly scribbled list (kind of complete)

Need to tighten up the rear locker, there is some slop in the gear setup
warn front hub conversion, transfer case skid plate, d30 diff guard

got these uniframe stiffners to weld on

gonna swap in this np231 with the hd aa output shaft kit already installed, which means at least a new rear driveshaft too

still working on my own set of 33s, but i have 15x8 rims for the tires

won a steering box brace that i need to get ordered. may end up with hydro assist, not sure at this point.
got a complete set of leather seats to swap in as well...
build a rear bumper/tire carrier as well
fix sagging headliner
replace rusted parts of exhaust, upgrade to flowmaster 2 chamber muffler
entertaining the idea of a respectable yet conservative cage
repaint sliders and bumpers...maybe even entire jeep...we'll see

and this is the major part of the project...

That floor looks like a good time :eyes:

Sounds like a real nice start though, Good luck and have fun!

got 4 floor pans coming, one for each foot well.

here's a pic from the internet of the fronts

and rear

got all four with shipping for $184. The quality doesn't look to be as good as some of the factory looking stuff, but this build it not factory fresh...i found somee online for btw 80 and 180 for each floor board. The ones I'm getting are 18 gauge steel and may take a little tweeking, but i hope install better than fighting just flat steel...i'll post real pics of them and the install when they come.

I had to redo my floors on the 84 I first had. What a PITA! I had to build the pans. I could not find anyting but the entire floor piece back then. GL!

yeah i have heard a couple of stories and even someone who scrapped the whole jeep for pans not as bad as mine...i figure for something slightly conformed to the shape of the floor should save me some headache and for everything for less than 200 bucks i'm pretty happy...we'll see...
